What our lives would be like if Donald Trump was elected

I am not an American.
I don't and have never lived in America.
So why should I care about the US elections or who runs for president?
Because anything America does, affects the rest of us.

Take Obama for example, whether you like him or not, he changed the world.

He managed to end $2 trillion war in Iraq, saving countless lives, both military and civilian, and eliminating U.S. involvement in a conflict that was a virtual recruitment and training center for international terrorists.
Through federal loans, he helped turn around the U.S. auto industry, which has saved and added thousands of jobs worldwide.
He reversed Bush's torture policies (aka, "enhanced interrogation"), which had been setting a dangerous precedent for legitimizing torture in other countries.
He has decimated al Qaeda's international leadership, by hunting down and eliminating Osama bin Laden, as well as many other important leaders of the terrorist organization… all without starting another war or endangering our troops.
Obama has also tremendously improved America’s image abroad. With new policies, diplomacy, and rhetoric, he has reversed a sharp decline in world opinion toward the U.S. (and the corresponding loss of “soft power”) during the Bush years.

Do you really think this man can live up to ''making america great again''

A man that is proud to be racist and homophobic.
Sound like anybody we've heard of before?

There are even a couple of websites that arue that he is worse than Hitler.
WORSE THAN HITLER
If you want to read some of the comparisons click here

He may be up against Hilary Clinton, which isn't everybody's favorite, and it has recently been revealed that she rigged certain elections and such, I don't know all the details but my point is, whatever she's done or she's said to try and beat Trump is for the best.

What Trump plans to do is:
  • Build a wall .
  • Make south america pay for the wall.
  • Detain anyone that tries to cross this wall.
  • Enhanced penalties for overstaying a visa- so if I'm offered a job in USA I'll be punished?
  • End birthright citizenship- ???
  • Put American workers first- if someone non American has studied more or worked harder than a US citizen, they'll still give the American citizen a job first because that's part of making America great again? Instead of giving someone that has studied and worked hard for the job??
P.S- All of his plans are on his website if you think I'm making this up.

Like I said, I'm not American, but these plans will affect everyone if he puts them in place.Honesty I think he's laughing in his big boy seat right now thinking of even more ridiculous things to say and see how many idiots agree with him.

Because that's what you are if you vote for this racist bastard.
An idiot.

Why I'm not looking forward to moving out and being independant

So you've read about me moving out and starting a new independent life which sounds pretty exciting, if you haven't read about it I suggest you do.

I did make a list of reasons to be terrified on that one, but I wan to focus on more day to day things that everyone has no problem with but I know i'm going to mess up.

Bills

They never taught me how to adult. I've never paid any bills in my life. What do I do? Do I pay the guy upfront every month cash in hand? Do I go to the bank and ask the bankers what to do? What happens if I'm late with my rent?? Am I going to get kicked out for not paying them on time?

People

I know, I should get out there and be more social!
I do want to make friends, but I'm crap at judging people, I could tag along with a bunch of junkies and be like guys I don't think you should do this, and I'd keep hanging out with them cos it'd give me something to do.

My mum say's I can't

Can't use that excuse anymore can I? I'm not a fan of letting anyone I meet into my house and the fact that I'm going to be alone from now on means, I could get followed home easier, I'm probably more likely to get mugged, or wake up on the had floor with my bed and everything missing.

Food

I'm not looking forward to buying my own food. I can eat a LOT of food, and the fact that I'm going to buy my own food and then eat it all and I'll have to go buy some more is not an exciting thought.

Wifi

THERE'S NO WIFI IN THE FLAT, this is very upsetting to me,how am I supposed to blog? or keep up with my social media? or function in life?I think in this day and age everyone depends on a good wifi connection for something or another. I'm going to have to hang out at little cafés everyday all day. Sucking up the wifi.

On that very sad note, I'll leave some questions for you and say goodbye for now.
Just know that if I don't post in a while, I'm not dead, I just don't have wifi.

Are you still living with your parents?
What age were you when you moved out?
Do you know how to pay bills?
If you haven't moved out yet, are you looking forward to being independent or not?

Moving out and being independant

I'm officially an adult!
In just seven days, SEVEN DAYS I will be living in my very own flat ladies and gentlemen (Well, studio flat...or apartment. Suit yourselves)

I signed the contract a few days ago, and I'l be moving out on the 23rd.

I got a call at the beginning of summer to schedule a job interview via Skype, my first thought was It'll be over and done with in no time and never hear from them again.
I usually fail at job interviews and get rejected.

But I got an email from them saying they'd love to have me working with them.
I was also deciding between other jobs at the time, analyzed everything and decided to go with this one.
It does mean having to move island, but I was also offered in Australia ( I know an amazing opportunity, but it requires a shit load of money) but it means if something goes wrong I'm only a 30 min flight away. (Australia is 22 hours+ away by plane).

 THE JOB
I start in September,Monday- Friday, weekends off, Christmas holidays, Easter holidays. They're able to provide me with social security and a years working contract.
I'm going to be an English teacher!
Working with kids from the ages 0-6. I'm over the moon!
The only thing I am slightly worried about is that I am really shy, and kids can pick up on things like that really easily and take advantage.
I know it sounds really pathetic, English teacher overpowered by 6 year old but I'm not the kind of person that can jump into something and fit into the mold. In my last job I only managed to last a week, but they had me start mid school year.
The school itself is a bilingual school that wants to teach children starting from a young age that there is more than one language to be spoken.

SHY
Hopefully living on my own will make me ''man up'' and lose my shyness.I'll be in the middle of a city, I've never lived in a city before, so I'll be able to meet new people everyday.
What's the point of moving out or away if all you're going to do is go from home to work and that's it.

INDEPENDENT
I am excited yet terrified to be independent.

Reasons to be excited

  • I can eat anything I want at any time of the day, who says I can't have ice cream for lunch? No one, because I live alone.
  • When my dad comes to visit I can finally say ''You're under my roof now, my house my rules''.
  • It's a small place so it'll be easier to clean and hopefully encourage me to be tidier.
  • Decorate it how ever I please.
  • Have friends over, I have this weird anxiety about inviting people into our house in case my dad thinks my friends are total weirdo's.
  • Exploring new places,It's a city , I'l have something new to explore everyday.

Reasons to be terrified

  • Eating anything I want everyday will not end well, I have no self control and a bottomless pit for a stomach.
  • My dad won't be around that much and the rest of my family members live in the UK so I won't see any of them unless I travel for Christmas.
  • It's small and I'm messy.
  • My decorating skills might look awesome as fuck in my head but once they're done they'll probably look fucked up.
  • Making friends is not an easy thing for me, I'm awkward.Plus I could chose the wrong type of friends and wake up one morning on the floor with my bed and my belongings missing.
  • I have no sense of direction and get lost really easily.

Overall I don't know if I'm more excited than terrified or the other way around, but my work contract and lease are both a years duration, if things go well the year will be over in time, if they don't....I'm stuck with it.

MY NEW HOME
Omg I nearly forgot to show you the actual place. It's small, as I said before, but It's going to be just me and it does the job.
My dad took the photos in a hurry because we were just looking at the place and hadn't decided on it yet so he wasn't sure if photo taking was allowed.
Some of them are a little blurry.
But yo get the picture.

This is what you see as soon as you walk in the entrance. A table, chair and a sofa (the sofa is also my bed, It has two mattresses to make it into a double bed)

This is the smallest bathroom I've ever seen but I'm not judging. #stopbathroomshaming
There's a washing machine, a toilet,sink and a shower.

This is the view I have sitting on my sofa/bed. The door, a chair and my real estate agent. Don't think she's included though.
Tiny TV. My laptop screen is bigger than my TV
My kitchen ft yours truly.

Overall, I have a job waiting for me in less than a month, a place to sleep and eat and new places and faces to meet.

I just realized I made a rhyme.
Watch out Eminem.

August already?

It's gone in a blink of an eye, at least for me.
I've only gone to the beach about 3 times.

Thinking about it, I have actually done quite a lot.

I've managed to get a job, (I'll be starting in September)
Will reveal more details in another post.
I've seen my best friend, we hadn't seen each other in four years, and shes coming over soon again!
We went on bike rides together

These are photos I took

These are photos she took.

She also does weddings, birthday parties and all that jazz.

I traveled to Edinburgh, stayed a night in Yorkshire,in a four star hotel.

Bought a new phone, new running shoes. (even though e all know I do not run).

Went to see a movie premier where my dad was featured

All in all I'd say it's not been a bad summer.
How has yours been?

Fashion-1960's vs now

The 1960's was definitely a decade that broke fashion tradition.
With the Beatles making exciting never before heard music, all sorts of traditions were being broken, not to mention, history was in the making!

They can't compare to any modern boy band, don't you dare suggest one direction!

People started dressing in brighter clothes, mismatched patterns

It just so happens that this is fashionable again!

False eyelashes became a fashion statement

Guess what all the beauty bloggers and fashion icons wear today...?

The pillbox hat

Today we've got royalty wearing this bad boy!

OOOH LA LA the mini skirt was a fashion revolution, girls wearing mini skirts were causing car crashes because the skirts were so distracting!

Nearly everyone owns one these days and now a days it won't cause any car accidents, but apparently it's still distracting for certain people, Pshhh

What goes around comes back around, the 60's are back!

Google Nexus 5 X

Guess what I got whilst in the UK.....

                                                           A new phone!

Capturing the soul of the Nexus family, the 5X offers top-line performance in a compact, lightweight device that's ready to go anywhere, anytime. Beneath the 5.2-inch display is a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor for world-class speed at an affordable price.

The best all-around camera  ever put into a Nexus shines in low-light conditions. Its larger 1.55μm pixels capture more light even in the dimmest conditions to produce stunning details and sharp images.

Nexus is quicker and more secure with a fingerprint sensor. Placed on the back of your device to complement the way you naturally hold it, Nexus Imprint will turn on your screen with one touch, unlock your apps quickly and easily, and let you breeze through checkout lines with Android Pay. And, by incorporating measurements each time you use it, Nexus Imprint gets smarter with every touch.

Nexus uses USB-C

The USB Type-C charger is reversible, which means no more guessing which way is up. And it's fast—get almost four hours of use after only ten minutes of charging.
I did not know this.
I like to have two chargers for my phone, one to have in a spot always and one o take to work and trips and stuff. But because this type of USB is fairly new it is hard to get, especially on my little island.
It is so similar to the nexus 5.

Leave a comment if you'd like a post explaining what happened to it.

Bye!

Things to do in Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura, one of Spain’s Canary Islands, sits in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Morocco. It’s known primarily as a holiday destination due to its white-sand beaches and year-round warmth cooled by constant winds. The multitude of beaches that wrap around it are interrupted by cliffs and sheltered coves. It's popular for water sports, especially surfing, windsurfing and water-skiing.
This little island is where I was born, I've lived here all my life.

Because it's a tourist based island I'm going to give you some ideas of things you can do. (Come and say hi!)
One of the main attractions has to be the beaches, the most popular beach has to be the flag beach :

El Cotillo lagoons
Just chilling out with the drinks and live entertainment outside Cantante

The island also has a very very wide selection of restaurants and bars so you'll never be stuck with the same meal every night, most of them overlook the sea.

If beaches aren't your thing all the hotels have pools included,

If water all in  all isn't your thing then you must smell. Take a hike pal!

Seriously, go for a hike! It's a desert island, full of volcanoes  (non active ones) You'll never know what you might find out there while exploring.
Or jump on a quad bike

So many tourists have taken to hoping on a quad and riding off into the sunset, they're also great for exploring and your legs wont hurt as much as hiking everywhere if you use one of these!

Do you like cheese?
I bet you've never tasted Canarian Cheese
There's a variety of cheeses, most of them made from goat's milk (it should be available in your local supermarket) they all range from strong to mild in taste.

We even have a majorero cheese museum, majorero's are what locals call themselves, if you're from London you're a Londoner, if you're from Fuerteventura you're a majorero.

Other local food include things like this:

You could always try and capture local wildlife
With your camera of course.

Fuerteventura has unique animals that belong on the island and that are now protected due to facing near extinction .

Now that you have an idea of the hings you could do why not book your holiday and come over and say hi!

My favorite thing to do has to be going to the beach!
