No pain no gain!

That's what they say right?

If you've been keeping up with my blog posts you'll know I recently went to the gym one day.
Not for any reason I just felt like I should that day and I did.
If you missed that you can find it here

Well I haven't been back honestly, not because I didn't like it or anything I actually enjoyed it in the end, which is really surprising considering I'm probably one of the laziest people on the planet.
But because I got a job!

I will be working three days a week as a babysitter, looking after a nine year old.
I'm pretty happy about this seeing as I've always liked kids and last year I received my qualification.
It's not a job that comes with a contract but it's a job.
Plus I feel so much more organised now, because I know I have a responsibility to this kid.
So hopefully once I get my YouTube Channel up and running again I'll be busy busy busy !

Anyway,I'm going to tell you about my first week working as a babysitter and how I've broken everything in my body.

Because we're in summertime it gets crazy hot outside so I've been taking this kid to the beach a lot, and on Friday I might as well have died.

Because I don't want to be a bitch to this kid I get in the water with her and play with her, she brings her inflatable lobster lilo and beach things and jumps onto it and I stop her from killing herself in the process.
Pretty easy responsibility right?
She jumped onto it and slid right off, I caught her and she put all of her weight onto my arm and I hurt my shoulder.
She then let go of the lobster and the wind quickly stole it from us and started to move it all the way to the other side of the beach.
I stood for just about 10 seconds with the child, as she is my responsibility and I didn't want to leave her alone but I also didn't want her father to have a go at me for losing her lobster.
I start to run after the lilo ( bare in mind we were in the water, have you ever tried running in water that goes past your waist? It's fucking hard )

I did my back in running after the lilo before I even got anywhere near it.
Luckily a man ran after it ,from outside the water ( from outside the water... the shore, from the shore. Smart man. )
He dived in after it and I was able to stay with the kid,we swam to him and thanked him.I told her to play by the shore and put the lilo away, I was in so much pain, my back, arm and neck!
Yup, I'd hurt my neck as well. This was worse than the gym, I had pain everywhere.

But we still managed to have a sand ball fight before I took her home, I'm so glad I've had the weekend off and I definitely had more fun at the beach than at the gym.
